Kelcie has been a Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist since 2016. She started receiving regular massages at the age of 15 to help manage chronic migraines. After personally experiencing the benefits of massage and its effects on chronic pain, she decided to pursue it as a career. Kelcie graduated from the Body Therapy Institute where she received a thorough education on anatomy and the human body, comprehensive training in Myofascial Release, Swedish, and Trigger Point massage, and hands-on experience through an internship at UNC Cancer Hospital. After working in the spa industry for 3 years, Kelcie joined Dr. Betsy's practice in 2019, where she has provided massage therapy in collaboration with patient's chiropractic care. She has enjoyed being able to implement all that she has learned (and continues to learn!) to bring our patients relief from chronic pain through targeted massage sessions. Whether it's due to conditions like repetitive stress injuries, degenerative disc disease, fibromyalgia, auto and sports-related injuries, pregnancy, recent surgeries, or everyday stress and tension, she will work with you and Dr. Betsy to tailor a treatment plan that best suits you. When not massaging, Kelcie enjoys spending time with her husband and two cats, being an Eagles fan, and searching for seashells down at the beach.
